Driving Instructor

Since 1982, Bay Cities Driving School has been a cornerstone of driver education in the San Francisco Bay Area. With more than four decades of experience, we've built a reputation for excellence in teaching safe driving practices. Our goal is to prepare students to become skilled, confident drivers who will stay safe on the road for years to come. Through comprehensive behind-the-wheel instruction, our team of experienced, DMV-certified instructors equips students with the knowledge, abilities, and self-assurance necessary for safe driving.

Our service area spans the entire SF Bay Area Peninsula, from South San Francisco and Daly City in the north to San Jose in the south, including coastal communities. We also serve Palo Alto, Mountain View, Sunnyvale, Redwood City, Menlo Park, Santa Clara, and Cupertino.

Bay Cities Driving School is hiring motivated individuals to become Driving Instructors teaching teens and adults on the SF Bay Area Peninsula. We welcome both experienced instructors and those new to the field who are passionate about teaching safe driving skills.

If you're an experienced instructor with a current California Driving Instructor License, you can get started quickly and may be eligible for our sign-on bonus. If you're new to driving instruction but meet our qualifications, we'll help guide you through the licensing process.

Key aspects of this position:

• You'll use our company vehicles for all lessons, which feature dual controls including a passenger-side brake, GPS tracking, dashcams, and passenger-side rear mirrors to ensure instructor safety
• All vehicle-related costs including fuel, maintenance, and company insurance are fully covered by the company
• Peak scheduling occurs during weekday afternoons and weekends when students are available outside of school hours
• Most instructors complete one to three two-hour lessons per day

We are currently hiring primarily for weekend and weekday afternoon (after school hours) availability. Experienced instructors with current licenses can transfer in quickly or share their license with another driving school, and are strongly encouraged to apply.
