Teen Permit Requirements:
- Be at least 15 1/2 years old.
- Have completed the driver education course.
- Provide your social security number.
- Provide proof of legal presence by either 1. Birth certificate (no photo copy) 2. Passport 3. Green card 4. Certificate of naturalization.
- Submit a completed DMV application (DL44) signed by both parents.
- Submit a DRIVER TRAINING ENROLLMENT CERTIFICATE (OL392). (You cannot get your permit without this certificate.)
- Pay the DMV application fee.
- Take and pass a written test at the DMV.
- Be Prepared to have your photo taken, take the eye test and give a thumbprint.
You can obtain your driver traning enrollment certificate by:
- Visiting our office
- By mail
- By calling us
By Mail, please send us:
- Your full name as it appears on the birth certificate.
- Date of birth
- Your address
- Payment of 1/2 of the total fee (call for current prices and specials)

Go to the DMV with all the required documents and take the written test. When you pass, you will be issued a permit to drive. Then call us to set up your first driving lesson.
Note: The permit is not valid until you have taken your first lesson with an instructor.
